“One in ten children aged between 5 and 16 years (three in every classroom) has struggled with issues related to their mental health, and many continue to have these problems into adulthood.”
Young Minds
There is a wealth of evidence to emphasise the need for early mental health support. With good mental health, children and young people can manage stress effectively. They can create healthy relationships with others; they can learn better and have the confidence to explore the world and welcome new experiences. The earlier children receive support, the less likely they are to develop mental health issues later on in life.
